To tell you all about myself is not easy; therefore, the simplest way for you to learn about me is to tell you all about my favorite hobbies, interests, etc. My biggest interest is my love of animals, especially my Samoyed dogs. I love animals and always will. I grew up on a farm seven miles outside of Orofino, Idaho and spent my childhood days around all sorts of animals. Most of the animals there were your typical farm animals but my sisters and I made it a habit to make them our friends. Our dad did not appreciate that when we wouldn't eat the meat he put on the supper table when we knew it was one of our beloved pets in front of us. Anyhow, life on the farm is what molded me into the animal lover I am today. Since leaving the farm, my family eventually got back into horses in the early nineties and enjoyed them until my father's poor health forced us to place our horses with friends for awhile. Since my father's passing, I think about bringing the horses back home but I know that they are happy where they are at with a wonderful couple for the time being.
When I was in high school, I also become an lover of muscle cars. My
first car was a Dodge Charger that I eventually modified and entered into
the World of Wheels in Lewiston. I was thrilled when I won two trophies;
one for the
class and one for the division. I loved cruising around downtown
Lewiston, Idaho with my friends in my Charger. Eventually, I would
pull over to talk to the
other performance car nerds. That is were I met my husband at the time who
introduced me to the 1967/1968 Mercury Cougar. I've attending several
national, regional and local car Cougar shows and grew found of the
cars. Even though I do not have a Cougar any more, I still have
friends that have this model and I still maintain the
Mercury Cougar XR-7G Web Page
for the registrar for the Cougar Club of America. My current muscle car
is a
1995 Mustang GT that I purchased in 2003 with 36,000 miles. I still have
the Mustang here at home, but it doesn't get let out of the corral very
often and then only when the weather is prime.
Through the years I have always had my Samoyeds with me and have showed
them in multiple shows. I have been a member of the
Samoyed Club of America
since 1988, and active member of the
Samoyed Club of Washington
State and Willamette Valley Samoyed
Fanciers, as well as the newly formed Inland Northwest Samoyed Fanciers.
I am also a lifetime
member of the Lewis-Clark Kennel
Club and working towards my AKC judging license to judge dog shows
so my plans are to eventually retire as a dog show judge when the time
comes.
On another note...since my family moved back into the Orofino area, the
place we had purchased here was infested with feral cats.
The determination to tame them led me to become a lover of cats! During my
leisure time, I love to sit in a rocker out under the porch to admire
the view with one of our kitties in my lap.
Well, you just read the short version about me and there are so many
stories to tell. I hope you enjoy my web site.
